Reels on Wheels is back! Join us on Thursday, June 7th for an evening of music and song spanning the River Heights homes of three generous hosts!

Featuring…

The Barefoot Ceili Band
The Bronze Branch
The Hammers

Enjoy a 30 minute concert at one home, then walk/drive/cycle to your next home – like a progressive dinner with music instead of food! Concerts start at 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00.

After your final concert, stay for snacks and refreshments and good company! Let your ticket seller know if you can donate snacks!

All proceeds go to Comhaltas Winnipeg and help fund Irish Fest 2012, this year featuring the Comhaltas Tour direct from Ireland.

Tickets are $15. Concert locations and itinerary will be included with your ticket.

Traditional Irish Music & Song Fundraiser – November 18th

On Friday, November 18th, please join the band Rinn at St. Luke’s Church (130 Nassau St. North) for a fundraiser in support of the Tuesday morning soup kitchen.

Admission is $5 and will include a delicious assortment of terrific treats and remarkable refreshments. Rinn will be playing two sets of lively jigs, tender love songs, and rip-roaring reels.

Doors open at 7:30pm. Hope to see you there!

Upcoming Irish Music Sessions

Hello all, just a friendly reminder that Comhaltas Winnipeg will be holding its monthly traditional Irish music session on Sunday, November 6 at 2pm at the Assiniboine Park Conservatory. Come on down for an afternoon of music and fun!

Comhaltas Winnipeg also holds weekly sessions every Thursday night at the Irish Club (654 Erin Street) starting at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to come out and play along or just listen in – see you there!

The 2011 edition of the Winnipeg Irish Fest was a huge success!

A big thank you to everyone who attended the workshops and came out to the concerts – we had a lot of fun! Thank you to all our volunteers, commitee members and to The Dardanelles for sharing their fantastic music with us.

We’re planning on doing even more for 2012, and the first step is to set up our new home here at irishfest.ca. Excuse the dust as we prepare things for the 25th edition of the Winnipeg Irish Fest!
